ABOUT ABOUT

Join us in Nipton, California for a night of sound healing in the beautiful Mojave Desert. Mind, body & spirit will be explored and activated under the guidance of our deeply experienced sound bath facilitators.

What is a gong sound bath you might be wondering? The gong is one of the most powerful therapeutic instrument. It has been used throughout history for healing and meditation, dating as far back as 16,000 B.C. in some accounts. The vibration created by a gong is known as a gong bath. It creates an ocean of sound that is profoundly relaxing. Water has often been used as an example for the rippling effect caused by the gong’s vibrations, partially because our bodies are approximately 70 percent water. The ripples created by the gong’s sound gently reverberates over, around and through the entire body to calm, relax and soothe. Typically, the listener’s heart rate slows, blood pressure drops and breath is restored to its natural rhythm. The gong induces a holistic resonance in the body and a spontaneous meditative state in the mind, resulting in a sense of expanded awareness and wholeness.

If you haven't been to Nipton yet, it is the most magical place and the  perfect location for a gong sound bath! Nipton is a very small town that was founded in 1905 and is rich in history. It still has its old mining town vibes, but with a modern day twist. There is a very cute trading post, a deliciuos restaurant/bar, large burning man art installations, a small historic hotel, eco-cabins and stunning fully-furnished tipis. The town is located 10 miles off of interstate 15 at the California/Nevada state line (50 min from Las Vegas). Visit the Instagram page for more pics: @MagicalNipton

The sound bath begins at 7, but arrive early to check out the town and its art in the daylight and/or grab some food/drinks in the restaurant. Sunsets in Nipton are breathtaking! The sound bath usually goes for 90-120 minutes and is held inside of a 26 foot tipi, so space is limited to 18 people. You will be sitting for the first 30 minutes and then in shavasana for the remaining time. The more comfortable you are, the better, so you will want to bring a yoga mat and/or pillows and blankets.

After the sound bath, the group usually hangs out and stargazes at the communal fire pit. Nipton's remote location is free from all light pollution, offering guests stunning views of the heavenly night sky.

Overnight accommodations are available (campsite, tipi, cabin or hotel room) and are handled separately through the Nipton website --- www.nipton.com

We cant wait to see you in Nipton for an unforgettable night.
